TrueDepth and Face Data

This app uses Apple’s ARKit face tracking on devices with a TrueDepth (Face ID) camera to provide real‑time smile symmetry feedback.

What we collect via TrueDepth

  • ARKit blend shape coefficients such as mouthSmileLeft, mouthSmileRight, and related metrics (e.g., jaw open, mouth pucker).
  • These are numeric values provided by ARKit per frame and are processed in memory only.
  • We do not capture or store images, video, depth maps, point clouds, or any biometric templates.

Purpose of use

  • To compute a live symmetry score and drive on‑screen visual feedback and haptics during training.
  • No other use is made of the coefficients; they are not used for identification, authentication, or profiling.

Sharing and disclosure

  • No sharing: Data derived from TrueDepth/ARKit is not shared with any third parties.
  • No transmission: Data does not leave the device and is not sent to servers.

Storage and retention

  • No retention: TrueDepth/ARKit coefficients are processed ephemerally in memory and are not stored.
  • The app stores a simple best symmetry score value locally using iOS UserDefaults; this value is not linked to identities and contains no biometric data.

Important: The app does not create or store any representation of your face. All processing occurs on‑device, and if the device lacks a supported TrueDepth camera, the app shows an unsupported screen.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect names, photos, videos, biometric identifiers, usage analytics, device identifiers, or precise location.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not contain content targeted specifically at children.
